FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We thought that we could save you and ourselves some time by posting a list of questions that other customers have asked. If you don't see the question that's on your mind, please don't hesitate to contact us.
- 1.What size are your candles?
- 2.What are the earwires on your earrings made of?
- 3.How do you figure your shipping charges?
Our candles are full sized. Don't be fooled by the great low prices! The martini glasses that we use are ten ounce size as are the footed mugs for our cappuccino and mulled cider candles. The beer mug and the glasses that hold our Treasure candles are thirteen ounce size and the hurricane glass for our Pina Colada candle is a wopping fifteen ounces.
The earwires or posts on our sterling silver earrings are made of sterling silver. The earwires or posts on the gold-filled earrings are gold-filled and could present a problem for those with sensitive skin or metal allergies. If you need 14k gold or nylon instead of gold-filled (or even sterling silver), please call during our business hours and we will customize our earrings for you.
we base our shipping calculations on the U.S. Postal Service's Priority Mail charges. Our shopping cart is set up to calculate the shipping according to weight and distance from our store. We have found this to be the best and least expensive shipping method, particularly since much of our merchandise might suffer from extended time in transit. If you like, you may contact us by telephone, mail, or e-mail and we will box, weigh, and measure your order then calculate the exact shipping charge for you. We add a $2.00 handling charge to help pay for bubble wrap, cartons, packing tape, and other packaging materials so that we can keep the prices of our products as low as possible. There have been some recent changes in the way the Postal Service determines the shipping charge so that large boxes which do not weigh very much will now be charged by "dimensional weight". For instance a 14 inch square carton which weighs 6 pounds will now be charged at the 20 pound rate if it is being shipped a long distance (ie. since we are in zip code 10501, any package 12 inches square or larger, sent Priority Mail to zip codes starting with #5 to #8 are subject to this surcharge).
