What Do You Mean - "Assorted"?
This page is reserved for the jewelry that doesn't quite fit into the categories on the other pages, either because different materials such as shell, wood, or glass are used or because they are neither earrings nor necklaces.
Celestial
It's easy to see several themes emerging in the jewelry that I make and this is one. The moon and stars often feature in my work as do teardrop and marquise shaped stones.

Two star-shaped sterling silver beads are the perfect complement to the crystal half-moon pendant on this 17 inch necklace. Obviously this necklace will go well with any color clothing and it can be yours for a pittance!

Our second offering in this class is a longer neclace featuring an "Aqua Aura" crescent moon with czech crystal bead accents. Necklace is about 22 inches plus the pendant.

Cloisonne Jewelry
For those unfamiliar with the term, cloisonne refers to the craft of decorating metal objects (including beads and pendants) by forming and attaching metal strips or wire to form shapes which are then filled with enamel, fired, finished, and polished. Each finished piece is its own little work of art. Althogh most cloisonne has been formed with gold colored wire, I always kept my eyes open at the wholesale shows for silver colored ones as I tend to make more jewelry with sterling silver than with gold-filled. I have decided to give the pieces of my jewelry which really feature cloisonne their own section here.

These French hook earrings feature a diamond-shaped cloisonne bead with complimentary round stone or glass beads and gold-filled findings. Choose from the three colors presented above.

Pink rhodochrosite beads perfectly compliment the colors in the cloisonne beads and the gold-filled French hooks and findings.

These drop earrings feature oval cloisonne beads with various background colors. If you like more than one, why not buy both?

Here's a pair of cloisonne earrings that feature one of the more difficult to find silver designs along with sterling silver French hooks and findings.

This pair of earrings features an even more unusual cloisonne design. Besides using a silver rather than gold colored base, these are the only openwork cloisonne beads I have ever come across. An extra benefit that this design provides is the lightened weight of the finished earrings.

You can choose these cloisonne teardrop earrings with a background color of white, blue, or aqua.

Last, but not least, in this collection of cloisonne bead earrings are these that feature a triangular bead at the bottom. Choose from black, green, or red background colors.
Cloisonne Pendants

Items in this category are often "one of a kind" as the cloisonne pieces were sold individually rather than as strands of beads.

Goldstone Jewelry
Goldstone is a man-made substance like "cherry quartz" and "aqua aura",but there seems to be more confusion about it than about the rest, possibly because it was first created in Italy during the Renaissance. I remember noticing my grandmother's goldstone jewelry back in the 1950s. A gemologist I once knew told me that a customer had argued with him about it and said that she knew it was a natural stone because she had seen the mine!
I like the original coppery colored goldstone and have never seen the green or purple variety although I've read that they exist, but my favorite is the blue goldstone because it reminds me of a midnight sky full of stars.
Blue Goldstone Necklace and Earrings

Sparkling blue golstone and an elaborate sterling silver adjustable clasp with cast silver leaves make this a very special piece of jewelry. The oval bead matching earrings even have tiny silver leaves on their sterling siver French hook findings. I am pricing this as a set but, as always, would be happy to sell either separately. Just send us an email or give us a call and we'll arrange it.

Shell "Collar" Necklace

This is the much larger array of tapered strips generally called "collars" rather than the 13 piece "fans". In this case the material is also shell rather than stone. When I purchased this years ago at a trade show it was marketed as "Paua shell" but I thought it looked exactly like abalone shell. Sure enough, when I did a little research I found that they are indeed one and the same. The only difference is whether it originated here or in New Zealand as the word abalone is derived from Spanish and paua comes from the Maori language. Treat yourself or someone you love to this gorgeous necklace!

Freshwater Pearl Necklaces

The inspiration for these freshwater pearl and sterling silver necklaces actually came from the fancy shell-shaped silver beads that form a lovely transition from sterling snake chain to a strand of pearls strung with sterling wire. These are 14 inches long - the standard choker length. I just about always include a piece of extender chain to chokers to make them more adaptable for the wearer; however I got caught up in the new design and forgot! If you want/need the extender chain please leave a message when you order and I will add one at no extra cost.

Multi-strand Necklaces
I'd best tell you from the start that I don't know how many multi-strand designs I'll ever come up with as they present their own special challenges. In other words, they tend to be royal PITAs to design and to make; however, since I still have a fair amount of sterling silver and gold-filled findings made to facilitate such designs, given time I'll likely come up with a few.
Starlight, Star Bright

Like the pearl chokers shown above, this beautiful multi-strand necklace was inspired by fancy sterling silver beads, this time star-shaped ones. The star theme inspired my choice of iridescent czech crystal beads for the shortest strand, round faceted black onyx beads to stand for the night sky, and finally clear czech crystal beads for the longest strand. The length of the shortest strand is a hair under 16 inches and the other strands obviously hang a bit lower. I'm quite proud of this one. Of course, as always I am willing to customize it for you. Please be advised that it takes a lot of work 'as is' and adding more materials and time will affect the end price.

Bracelets With Magnetic Clasps

Have you ever struggled with a regular clasp when trying to put on a bracelet? Those little spring clasps can be buggers in the best of circumstances, but trying to do it one-handed really makes it a challange. Why not make your life (or someone else's) easier with one of our magnetic clasp bracelets? All you need to do is to move the ends of the clasps toward each other and they will close themselves. One word of warning though, despite being small these are very strong magnets and are NOT to be used by anyone with a pacemaker!
Since there is no stretch in these bracelets it is important to know what size is needed. We are showing three sizes of freshwater pearl and gold-filled bracelets, 6 inch, 6 1/2 inch, and 7 inch. Sizes are approximate. I do the best I can to hit the desired length but pattern and materials may make it a smidge over or under. The glass bead bracelet shown worked out to 6 1/2 inches. We plan to add new designs and as always would be happy to customize your bracelet design to your specifications.

Double Woven pearl and gold-filled bracelet
Because this style of bracelet requires much more work, time, and materials than the simpler ones shown above, I will make these to order only. They are available in either white or pale pink freshwater pearls with gold-filled beads and a gold-filled magnetic clasp as described above. Please remember to measure your wrist (or, if it is a gift, obtain an accurate measurement of the recipient's wrist) before ordering. Please call 508 864 5079 during business hours, email us at emm@silverandstone.com or use our order form. The price for this one is $20.00, but it is not listed in the shopping cart since it's available only by special order.
I have posted a story about the first of this type of bracelet that I sold years ago on our sister site Greenbriar Gifts that you might find amusing.
Dichroic Glass Pendants
